Paige - 2 week update

At 2 weeks old, Paige continues to surprise us all. This little girl is so much stronger than any of us ever expected. She has been breathing on her own with just some help from the CPAP. Most of the time she is breathing room air. She's been having some apnea and brady episodes, but this is very common in preemies and something that they outgrow as they become more mature. It is scary to watch though (just ask Grandpa), as all of a sudden she will forget to breathe and needs to be stimulated to get her breathing again. Her biggest hurdle right now is that she hasn't been able to pass the meconium in her intestines. They are going to do a procedure tomorrow to get things going, and hopefully after that she will start tube feeding again on breastmilk. Right now she is on IV nutrition only. She has gained 3 ounces since her birth, and is now 1lb 2oz. She also grew 3cm in length.

Here are a few pictures
